2027 COMPETITIONS

The Flute Society of Kentucky invites you to participate in the following competitions to be held as part of the 2027 Flute Festival, April 2-3 at Northern Kentucky University (Highland Heights, KY).​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​HOW TO ENTER:​

  1. Submit the Competition Application Form by 11:59 PM EST on DECEMBER 18, 2026.

  2. Submit the Competition Entry Fee by 11:59 PM EST on DECEMBER 18, 2026.

General Information​​

  • Please submit your competition entry as an UNLISTED YouTube Link in your Competition Application Form.

  • Applicants who are invited to compete in the live Round may use the FSK pianist for a fee.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Flute Society of Kentucky is accepting proposals for Performers and Presenters for the 2027 Flute Festival. This Festival includes flutists of all ages and abilities and aims to inspire everyone in attendance.

We are looking for diverse programming that reflects the varied interest of our members and the flute community, including but not limited to...

  • presentations on pedagogy

  • history

  • figures in the flute world

  • musicians’ health & wellness  

  • performers of all backgrounds to play either solo or chamber works from any time period.

TO APPLY:

  1. Submit the Call for Proposals Application Form by December 18, 2026.

  2. Performers chosen to present/play at the Festival will perform the same selection submitted in the original proposal.  All participants agree to appear at the 2027 Flute Festival at their own expense.

  3. Those who have been accepted to perform or present must register for the Festival by March 1, 2027.
